Staying at the Burj Al Arab was a Luxury experience like no other! A True 7 star luxury experience! The Burj al Arab is one of Dubai’s most famous landmarks. It looks like a sailboat and is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Upon arrival, I was welcomed in the epitome of true Arabian hospitality! Bellboys were dressed in traditional UAE garb helped me out of the car and into the hotel lobby, where a row of beautiful hostesses were at hand to give a refreshing cold towel, cold rose water, dates, Bakhoor and Arabian coffee . Definitely a 7 star welcome!
The lobby was most impressive! Enormous gold pillars, dancing fountains and escalators that have large fish tanks for walls. The honeycomb-style 590 foot atrium definitely stood out as amazing design element! This hotel is all about breathtaking grandeur.
The rooms, or rather suites were more exquisite than I imagined. It starts with a grand foyer and a grand side staircase! Everything was just grand!
The master bedroom: I can’t tell you how hard it was not to jump on that bed.
When I entered the the Master Bathroom there had a range of unique first-class flourishes, including an extensive selection of full-sized complimentary Hermés amenities. Both his&hers soaps, shower-gels, shampoos and conditioners, lotion and perfumes for the ladies and Tres Hermes Homme deodorant and perfume for men. There was even a pillow menu with 17 options!
I really liked the shadow clock that was projected onto the wall.
The entire room had everything at my fingertips, as though having a private butler was not enough. The in-suite electronic system makes it possible to open the floor to ceiling windows curtains and switching off the lights in the suit with a mere fingertip.
Branding was on point! From Bhaklava (traditional Arab sweets) to chocolates all packaged in souvenier boxes shaped like the sail of the Burj. Writing instruments, stationery...even the toilet paper was branded!
For Dinner, I tried the Al Mahara (Oyster Shell) Restaurant. The entire restaurant has a magical glow from the enormous seawater aquaria and very exquisitely beautiful table settings.
The hotel has an array of luxury amenities including separate indoor infinity pools, jacuzzi’s and treatment rooms overlooking the ocean complement the spa, along with saunas, steam rooms and plunge pools.
They offer a fleet of Rolls-Royce cars to take you around town, helicopter transfers, as well as scenic tours from the air.
Much like Dubai itself, the Burj Al Arab is a unique experience that is hard to find anywhere else.
