Fashionistas!!! Have you seen the latest collection by Temperley London?
Templerley London has a special place in my heart among British Designers. Apart from the chance of working alongside Alice Temperley during my time living in London, she is a designer that always stood out for me. She maintains a very modern bohemianism aesthetic, with a confident, feminine and effortless attitude while staying true to her British Heritage. She also pioneers artisan techniques and intricate hand worked embellishment, that compliments her creative style.
For those of you who are unfamiliar Alice Temperley, she founded her namesake brand, Temperley London in 2000, a year after graduating from the Royal College of Art in London. Templerley London offers a range of day wear, cocktail and evening dresses. Alice by Temperley is her diffusion collection and there is also Temperley Bridal that is made-to-order, bespoke and ready-to-wear styles.
A lot of you might wonder what it is like to work for such a prestigious designer. My time at Temperley was very enjoyable but at the same time very hectic. I worked in the wholesale department and at times assisted in PR and Fashion Week preparation. One will never imagine the amount of work that goes in to preparing for a fashion show that lasts just under 10-15 minutes! Not to mention the amount of work that happens after the Fashion Show! The fashion, glamour, celebrities and paparazzi moments only last for a fraction of time!
Straight after the fashion show I remember having to quickly rush back to the showroom to get it ready and arranged according to the specific looks in preparation for the buyers who were scheduled to visit. I dealt with buyers from all parts of the world from top department stores like Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Browns in London and others from all parts of Europe, Russia, Middle East, and USA. After the buying period was over, the entire collection had to be pack, organized and shipped out for other showrooms in Paris and Milan. Work was never ending! And this was aside from all the work that goes into PR and celebrity endorsements, special orders and day to day sales of the other collections!
Its is true that working in fashion is not only about the glamour, but lots of hard work, planning, and long hours go into it!
If you haven't heard of Temperley London brand, definitely check it out!
I just wanted to share a few of my favourite looks from the Temperley Autumn/Winter 2016-17 collection which just showed at London Fashion Week. The new looks were delicate with beautiful floral designs.
However, before sharing these looks, I wanted to share some images of the innovative take on Temperley’s catwalk presentation this year.
The stage was set with a dark pirate ship looking over the catwalk.
A few of my favourite looks from the collection were:
Some of the notable trends from this collection are:

And of course, I must throw in this pic of yours truly with Alice Temperly! This was taken at Temperly Bridal Showoom, during New York Bridal Fashion Week in 2014.
Which designer presentation stood out for you at London Fashion Week? What elements do you think will soon be on trend?
